Five Malta Studios Complete GamingMalta's base_camp Accelerator

Five Malta-based studios have completed GamingMalta's seven-month base_camp Accelerator, gaining business strategy skills and industry networks.
Five Malta-based game studios have completed the 2025/26 base_camp Accelerator, a seven-month programme run by GamingMalta in collaboration with SpielFabrique. The cohort closes after mentoring, workshops and business development work that began at PLAYCON.
At PLAYCON, each studio pitched its project and received live feedback from experienced mentors. The following months were spent on the operational side of building a games business, including business strategy, financing, studio organisation, marketing, community building and pitching.
The accelerator took a personalised approach, pairing teams with one-to-one mentoring and expert-led workshops. Participating studios were also connected to wider industry networks shaped around their individual needs, challenges and ambitions. That structure let each team focus on the areas most relevant to its stage of development.
For GamingMalta, the programme supports a stronger pipeline of homegrown talent and businesses within Malta's games ecosystem. The organisation said the five studios finish the accelerator better equipped to make informed decisions about their projects, their businesses and their next steps.
This matters beyond the individual teams. A healthier local games pipeline feeds the wider games economy and aligns with the long-term ambitions in Malta Vision 2050. The end of the accelerator shifts the spotlight from mentoring to execution, where those decisions start to carry real commercial weight.
