Five Studios Get Tailored Mentoring in Gaming Malta's base_camp Accelerator

Five game studios are getting bespoke mentoring and business support through Gaming Malta's base_camp Accelerator, delivered with SpielFabrique.
Malta's gaming accelerator circuit is moving away from a one-size-fits-all template. The 2025/26 base_camp Accelerator, organised by Gaming Malta with game development consultancy SpielFabrique, has brought together five studios at very different stages of growth, each with its own priorities and ambitions.
Rather than putting every team through the same routine, the programme tailors mentoring, business planning and industry exposure to where each studio stands. That can mean helping one team understand how publishers and investors assess a project, and helping another make concrete decisions about scaling a studio.
This flexibility matters beyond the studios themselves. It signals that early-stage gaming companies in Malta are being asked to think commercially from day one, not just focus on the product.
According to Gaming Malta, some participants needed a clearer picture of the business behind their game, while others focused on strategic direction and founder development. The mix of needs reflects a widening pipeline of local founders at different levels of experience.
Over the coming weeks, the organisation will profile the five studios and the projects they are developing, showing how each team used the accelerator to support its ambitions. With only a few places left in the next edition, the programme appears to be gaining traction as a pathway from development to funding readiness.
