Make It in Malta Booth Draws Crowds at SBC Lisbon as Ecosystem Pushes for Growth

GamingMalta, MGA, and partners drew strong interest at SBC Lisbon, pitching Malta's coordinated ecosystem to operators and investors.
Day one at SBC Summit Lisbon 2026 saw the Make It in Malta booth become a hub of activity, drawing operators, suppliers, and investors for discussions on investment and expansion.
GamingMalta shared the booth with the Malta Gaming Authority, Malta Enterprise, Bank of Valletta, and Identità. The group focused on practical questions: what businesses need and how Malta's ecosystem can deliver.
The presence is part of a coordinated push to position Malta as a leading international gaming hub. The conversations at the booth help GamingMalta identify industry priorities and challenges that shape where companies choose to base operations.
In an interview with the SBC Media Zone, GamingMalta CEO Ivan Filletti discussed the strong level of interest in doing business on the island. He highlighted the value GamingMalta offers operators and suppliers and how government entities work together to support investment.
Filletti also addressed why GamingMalta's presence at SBC remains important for Malta's continued development as a gaming hub.
Day two will shift focus to regulation, investment, banking, workforce mobility, and international talent. The Malta Gaming Authority, Malta Enterprise, Bank of Valletta, and Identità will lead those discussions.
The coordinated effort underscores Malta's strategy to attract and retain gaming businesses in a competitive global market, with direct implications for the local economy and employment.
