LifeStar CEO exits as insurer reshuffles leadership

LifeStar Insurance is reshaping its top team after CEO Jonathan Camilleri stepped down, with interim roles awaiting regulatory approval.
LifeStar Insurance plc has announced changes to its executive leadership following Jonathan Camilleri’s resignation as chief executive, effective 4 October 2026. Camilleri remains available to support the handover of his responsibilities, the company said.
In its announcement dated 13 October, the insurer said Jean Paul Fabri would assume the CEO’s functions in an interim acting capacity, subject to regulatory approval.
Fabri, an economist with experience in regulated business transformation, has served as an independent non-executive director and a member of the company’s Remuneration and Nominations Committee since August 2023.
Robert Laszlo, who joined LifeStar as Head of Actuarial in December 2025, is also set to become acting deputy CEO, subject to regulatory clearance. He brings more than 25 years of insurance experience spanning actuarial work, risk management, finance and business development.
The company separately confirmed regulatory approval for Juanita Brockdorff’s appointment as an independent non-executive director, effective 6 October. Elected by shareholders at the June annual general meeting, she also serves on LifeStar Insurance’s Audit and Risk Committee.
